If you were to run with your first impression of Nathaniel Axios, you would more than likely be misled. His dry wit and somewhat serious demeanor belies the depth of the man. Over the last two decades Nathaniel Axios has helped clients from a cross-section of industries build deeper experiences and stronger brand credibility through design, creative thinking and technology. He continues to assert said influence on the industry in his present role as Chief Design Strategist at IBM Public Service.
Design is at the core of who Nathaniel is, it drives his decisions, and it drives his business – Branding. With this in mind, wouldn’t it be just like Nathaniel to brand himself? … Nathaniel and his wife, Ashleigh made a conscious decision to have their brand – their name, reflect their guiding principles. As such, they embarked on a journey to pinpoint such a name. After countless exhaustive hours of research, thought and effort, the word “Axios” (Greek for “of weighted value”) was selected. Then, once it was determined that there was no prior use of Axios as a family name, Nathaniel and his wife legally adopted the name. The result being, the creation of a new family, the genesis of a legacy – a brand that speaks to the weight and impact they seek to have on society, both individually and as a couple.

Even in his downtime, Nax chooses to be engaged and challenged. He is an avid gamer, and values the social aspect, team work and stimulation of video gaming. He’s currently working on a 1979 Honda CB650, which he says remains unnamed as its personality hasn’t yet surfaced. In addition, Nax enjoys spending time on the beach, snowboarding and hiking.
